Fay (Francesca) Aaronson (she/her), LCSW-R, has been effectively working with children, adolescents and adults for over 25 years in private practice, school and agency settings, providing counseling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families and groups.

In a warm, caring and encouraging environment she works collaboratively with clients of all ages to help them access and further develop their strengths and resources, providing them with skills and motivation to cope with life’s challenges now and in the future. She provides them a safe haven in which to heal, find greater insight and empowerment.

Francesca helps children and adolescents as well, to enhance interpersonal relationships at home, school and socially, to better reach their potential and find fulfillment for their lives.  She also enjoys and has experience working with those on the Asperger’s/high functioning autism spectrum.

Her approach is eclectic and holistic, incorporating cognitive behavioral (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) approaches, working within the context of the person’s developmental, socio-cultural and physical life experiences. Her background includes advocacy and experience working with school administrators/ staff and for special needs resources in elementary through high schools.

Currently Francesca is seeing clients via Telehealth from the Hudson Valley, Catskills and the Five Boroughs of New York City.
