Claudia Gahagan (she/her) works with teens, adults, families, and couples, and honors diversity in the clinical space. Claudia believes the therapeutic alliance is essential to the therapeutic process and instrumental towards the impact on treatment outcomes. Claudia provides a safe space to express oneself freely and openly. She works with individuals who struggle with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, adverse childhood and community experiences, PTSD, trauma, chronic illness, grief, and loss. 

Claudia strives to meet clients where they are, taking into account the profound impact of cultural context,  in order to help them develop a fuller understanding of themselves, set and achieve accessible goals, and to enhance their well-being and overall health. She is passionate about serving her community and aids in advocating and supporting people in need. 

Claudia completed two years of field work at Family of Woodstock with a focus on crisis intervention, trauma, and case management. She is trained in evidence-based modalities including: motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, problem-solving therapy, interpersonal therapy, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, implicit psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and compassion-focused therapy. Claudia received her BA in psychology at California State University and her MSW from Fordham University.
