GROUPS

  • Tending Our Grief is a bereavement community established for members to honor the death of a loved one. Within our small group, we will participate with our loss, reverence and reckoning. We will explore the emotions that show up, the meaning and complications, our processes of change, our rituals and ceremonies, our means of empowerment, and perhaps even our wonder and inspiration - all while utilizing several supportive therapeutic practices to hold space for our feelings, expressions, and needs. Whether you’ve experienced the death of a loved one recently or find a loss is still affecting you years later, we welcome you to join this nonjudgmental, like-experienced community to connect around or further process your experience, in whatever way your participation and need show up.

As facilitator, Bryan’s goal is to utilize his experiences in palliative care settings, his education and clinical expertise, as well as his own human negotiations with bereavement to hold a space that becomes a resource for each member as we navigate the amorphous territory of grief.

This group will meet in-person at the Kingston office on Monday nights from 6:15-7:45pm, start date tbd.

$50 per session. Please inquire about accepted insurance.

  • Our voices are so much more than just the sounds that come out of our mouths.  Voice is a vibrational manifestation of how we show up in the world, how we connect and relate with ourselves and each other.  When we learn to connect and listen to our voices, beyond social constructs of “good/bad,” we can tap into the deep medicine of our human experience & expression.  Each person’s voice holds unique qualities and capacities for healing, growth, creativity, and liberation.  Grounded in an integrative, creative, and holistic approach, called Voice Journey®, this group will collectively explore our relationship with our voices, learn techniques to empower that relationship, and practice co-creating liberatory space for all voices.  Techniques may include (and are not limited to):  body centering, breath awareness, pure sound, meditative practice, exploratory improvisation, singing, and song creation

    Objectives:

    • Cultivate somatic awareness, realizing the whole body as the instrument

    • Deepen listening to enrich awareness, connection, and communication

    • Develop skills for self-regulation, insight, and empowerment

    • Co-create supportive communal space for healing and creative expression
