KELLY CARRONE, LMSW

Kelly Carrone (they/them) is a skilled and compassionate provider who specializes in working with gender and sexual minorities, particularly clients who are transgender, queer, and/or polyamorous. They focus on trauma (complex and acute), exploration of gender, anxiety, mood disorders, relationships, parenting, ADHD, neurodiversity-affirming care, and all aspects of sexuality

Mindful of how clients’ intersecting identities impact their lived experience, Kelly works with the whole client, without preconceptions about how a client does or should experience the world. They utilize a collaborative approach to facilitate clients’ movement towards fulfillment, deep healing, enhanced interpersonal relationships, and reaching their highest potential. To meet clients’ unique needs and goals, Kelly takes an eclectic approach that combines evidence-based trauma treatment modalities, CBT, DBT, psychodrama, narrative therapy, tarot, games, and other creative methods.

Kelly received their MSW from the University at Albany. They also have bachelor’s degrees in Sociology from Brandeis University and in Psychology from the University at Albany. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Kelly worked and volunteered in alternative school settings, mutual aid organizations, baby wearing education, and academia. They currently see clients in New York State via telehealth.
