Linda Balloqui-Smith (she/her) is a dynamic psychotherapist who for the past two decades has been working with families, adults, and couples in private, inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings. She believes therapy is a process that helps us reach our authentic selves through self-awareness, reflection and efficacy where strengths get fortified and challenges confronted.

Her hope is to facilitate her clients’ ability to step into their own power and resilience. Her intention is to be present and create a warm empathetic space to work collaboratively. She applies a creative and holistic mind/body approach to identify and address dysregulation, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss.

Linda holds Master degrees in Creative Arts Therapy and Social Work. Her education includes trainings in psychodynamic models and evidenced based treatments with an emphasis on Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She is a trained yoga practitioner with a focus on mindfulness, compassion and finding one’s own inner wisdom. She trusts that movement and breath open up the emotional space for therapeutic practice and positive living.

Linda is a bilingual Spanish speaker. She is an advocate who maintains that each person’s story deserves to be heard and held. She views the individual in their environment and holds in high regard the complexities of their socio-cultural context. She celebrates equity, intersectionality and human rights.
