Brooke Reynolds, MHC-LP
Brooke Reynolds’ (she/her) approach is centered on a foundational belief in the innate wisdom and healing capacity of each individual. She takes a mind-body approach which seeks to understand the ways trauma and chronic stress can result in unconscious adaptive physical, psychological, emotional, and relational patterns which impact various parts of our lives. Through a combination of psychodynamic theory, mindfulness, and somatic approaches, Brooke works with her clients to gently identify and shift patterns which may no longer serve them. She believes healing happens in relationship, and that the therapeutic relationship should be a place of curiosity, safety, exploration, and trust in all that may come up throughout their work together.
Brooke has a background in international human rights, where she has worked to address systemic injustice and abuse both domestically and internationally. Because of this, her approach centers the ways power, identity, disenfranchisement, oppression, and conflict impact mental health on both individual and societal levels. Brooke believes we cannot be understood outside of the systems, societies, and communities we live in, and that social justice and individual wellness go hand-in-hand.
Brooke completed her Mental Health Counseling degree at Antioch University with a concentration in trauma, and she is currently training in Somatic Experiencing, a body based trauma resolution approach she brings into her work with clients.
