Andrew Rosen, LMSW
Andrew Rosen, LMSW (he/him), takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy that helps his clients navigate life’s challenges. He aims to create a safe, non-judgmental space for his clients to feel supported, explore their autonomy, build self-compassion, and work toward their unique goals by fostering the innate capacity to heal. In his practice, Andrew is committed to recognizing and embracing the profound impact of intersectionality, creating an inclusive space for clients to explore their identities and experiences; and he aims to establish a mutual understanding and therapeutic alliance built on compassion, acceptance, and humor. He integrates several trauma-informed and somatic modalities in his work, and specializes in issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relational challenges, grief, and life changes or transitions. Andrew understands therapy is not a one-size-fits-all treatment, so uses a dynamic approach informed by mindfulness-based practices, solution-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive-behavioral models tailored to each person’s individual needs.
Andrew received his MSW from New York University, began his clinical training at a community mental health agency in Washington Heights, and has participated in Implicit Psychotherapy training - a developmental and somatic-based modality.
