Felix Sabornido (it/they/he/she) is a queer, trans, mixed race filipino clinician that uses an integrated relational approach to support clients strengthening their relationship to self, others, and community. Felix likes to empower clients by helping them develop tools to navigate effects of trauma and handle distress and overwhelm while navigating factors such as interpersonal relationships, community, institutions and society. Felix also puts emphasis on navigating family, community, romantic, and platonic relationships through developing healthy communication and boundary skills as part of building a strong support network and community. Core to their practice is the therapeutic relationship. They believe in a trauma informed, person centered and strength based model that centers clients’ needs.

Felix specializes in working with queer and trans, kinky and polyamorous individuals, and racially marginalized folks through an intersectional liberation framework. As a therapist it is important to Felix to understand the context in which clients with marginalized identities navigate through society as that can greatly affect mental health and community support. They love facilitating identity exploration in a space that emphasizes agency, with no pressure or expectations. Their approach is centered in joy, liberation, anti-carceral relationship building, and recognizing the impact of trauma and oppressive institutional systems.
