Olesya Jacques, MFT-LP

Olesya (Ah-le-see-uh) Kim Jacques (she/her) provides person-centered psychotherapy around a broad spectrum of issues to individuals, couples, and families. She acknowledges the importance of therapeutic alliance as a foundation for healing and the beginning of the explorative journey. Olesya sees each client as a unique being with the innate ability to heal, and with the desire to achieve balance, meaningful in their own way. She offers a non-judgmental, nurturing, empowering, safe environment, and views her mission as a therapist from a social justice lens, aiming to contribute to equal and equitable opportunity for all in the community. As a queer woman, Olesya strives to continue learning how to be culturally and socially attuned with LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, as well as individuals who identify as Polyamorous or Non Monogamous.

Olesya immigrated from Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2006. She has walked the path of immigration and wants to help other immigrants in their adaptation and assimilation. A bilingual therapist, Olesya may hold sessions in English and Russian. In her previous clinical experience, Olesya worked with teenagers and children, and has three kids of her own. She has been living in the Hudson Valley since 2014 and appreciates the beauty of nature of the area. Olesya received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Antioch University in New England.
