Timo Gould, MHC-LP, SEP
Timo Gould (he/him) believes each person has the innate capacity to heal and learn new ways to navigate their life. His background in burnout prevention and resilience education led him to believe change is possible even in our most stuck times.
To Timo, therapy is a space that fosters resilience and creativity in people's lives. He sees developing compassion as an inroad to creativity and a powerful resource in the transformation of pain and suffering. Timo views therapy as a pilgrimage into the inner world of his clients where they can explore barriers to living fully with purpose, uncover strengths, and develop resources to live with greater vitality and authenticity. In this way, he sees therapy as an opportunity to develop essential inner skills of personal and relational well-being. Timo approaches the therapeutic relationship as an integrative and holistic space of healing aimed to invite all aspects of one’s identity to be heard, seen, and present in the process.
Timo is dedicated to helping others find ways to live with fulfillment and vitality. Deep pain can persist over time, but the person who meets that pain can change each day. Timo is curious about environmental and situational factors such as culture, gender, and lifestyle that contribute to people’s lived experiences and presenting concerns. He believes the impact of familial, social, and cultural influences shape the body and mind. Timo integrates a compassionate and embodied approach to therapy by drawing upon mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing®, and attachment theory.
